It would be difficult to begrudge Alexis Sanchez a move away from Arsenal this summer.
There were times last season when it seemed the Chilean was going to have to get the Gunners in the Champions League single-handedly.
With 24 league goals, he certainly gave it a good go.
However, as we all know, it wouldn't prove to be enough as the club slumped to a fifth-placed finish.
The 28-year-old's latest comments all but confirmed his desire to move on.
"I have made my decision, but now the decision has to be taken by Arsenal," he said on Chilean radio, quoted via the Guardian.
"It depends on them. I have to wait to know what they want. My idea is to play and win the Champions League. It's a dream I have had since I was little.
"For now I am at Arsenal and I finish my contract in one more year."
Oddly enough, Arsene Wenger hasn't given up on keeping his prize asset. Of course, he would say that in public, but perhaps there's a little more to it than that.
Arsenal have one big hope
The Telegraph report that Arsenal genuinely think they will be able to keep hold of Sanchez because they don't expect him to force a move.
Given some of the attitude he's shown during his time at the Emirates, that may come as a surprise to some fans.
Having had some extra time off following the Confederations Cup, he's finally due back at pre-season training on Monday, where he'll be reminded that he can only leave if Arsenal are happy with the offer.
Wenger does not want to sell to a rival, which could make a potential deal even more expensive for Manchester City.
They'll have to hope he doesn't take inspiration from Virgil van Dijk, who is doing his best to leave Southampton by informing Mauricio Pellegrino he's not in the right frame of mind to train with the main group.
The downside, of course, is that if Sanchez doesn't leave, and on the assumption he doesn't sign a contract extension, they risk losing him for free in 12 months' time.
