If reports are anything to go by, we’re in for a crazy final month of the transfer window.
Neymar could be making a sensational £199 million move to Paris Saint-Germain, Alexis Sanchez could be following him from Arsenal, while Barcelona look to raid Liverpool for Philippe Coutinho.
But the most sought-after player throughout this summer is surely Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.
The 18-year-old had a fantastic season, helping Monaco to the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League semi-finals by scoring 26 goals in all competitions.
And, rather unsurprisingly, there are plenty of clubs sniffing around this summer.
The likes of Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool have all reportedly made bids for the Frenchman with the Ligue 1 champions holding out for a world-record fee.
Despite the interest, Monaco were holding out hope that Mbappe would remain at the club to further his development. And when they threatened to report ‘important clubs’ to FIFA for illegal approaches for their player this week, it looked as though they might have the power to resist the big European clubs.
Mbappe has agreed a deal
But their fight is over, it seems.
According to The Sun, Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Monaco and Mbappe for a crazy £120 million move.
The report claims that Real chiefs have been working on the deal since the start of the transfer window and they’ve finally reached a conclusion.
With Real selling both Alvaro Morata and Danilo for a combined £90 million, Florentino Perez is ready to make the Galactico signing he promised which saw him re-elected last month.
Even before a deal has been announced, Zinedine Zidane has been speaking highly of his compatriot.
“He’s a very good player. His talent at 18 years and his personality is very good.
“As a player, I like everything he showed last year. He’s not my player so I can’t say more.”
