Last week, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Conor McGregor proved to fans just why the world is watching them compete in a super fight next month inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It’s been called a circus show; the UFC lightweight champion continues to draw criticism due to his lack of boxing experience and promoters are trying to divert attention away from it.

PRESS TOUR

One thing is for sure, though, their antics in Los Angeles, Toronto, Brooklyn and London will have the world glued to their television sets when they finally throw down in August.

The four-city tour provided plenty of hilarious moments as the two traded some vicious insults, ranging from the Notorious’ expletive pinstripe suit and hitting out at Money’s high heels, to the 49-0 American throwing dollar bills at his Irish rival and bringing up the fact he submitted in three of his fights.

It was a chance for fans to see who they’ll side with and although it wasn’t a competition, it didn’t stop people from scoring and picking who won the mental battle ahead of their physical war.

Some claim McGregor’s straight to the point attacks were enough to hand him the win, while others suggested that McGregor continuing to chime in when Mayweather was on the microphone meant Money had got into his head.

However, Greg La Rosa – who was part of Mayweather’s security team and was referred to as a juice monkey by McGregor – has claimed that the American won that battle and it all came down to one action from the Irishman.

LONDON

Speaking to Submission Radio, La Rosa claimed that the moment McGregor touched Mayweather’s head in London, when he knew they weren’t allowed to touch each other, it showed that he was thrown off mentally.

He said: “I believe the turning point of what showed that he couldn’t get in his head is at the point when he touched his head in London.

“To me, that showed a sign of weakness in Conor because basically, the touch, you’re not supposed to be touching the other guy obviously, and I believe that touch was to try to bring something out of Floyd and he was basically saying, to me anyways, that I can’t do with words, I can’t do with actions, I need to try to do something else here.

“And even when he touched him, Floyd wasn’t even paying attention. He was on his phone and was just laughing at him, just laughing. He was talking to other people while Conor was doing his bit and I think that was really getting to Conor.”

It was certainly a questionable moment when it happened, but it only added to the hilarity at the end of an entertaining week.
