For much of the summer, the future of Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez has been up in the air with the Gunners star having only one year left on his current deal.
The mercurial forward was Arsene Wenger's talisman last season, notching 24 goals in the Premier League as well as assisting a further 10 more.

The 28-year-old has been linked most heavily with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, with the latter thought to be his favoured destination.
But, due to the fact that Arsenal are desperate not to sell to a direct Premier League rival, they look as if they will conduct business with the Parisians if they are indeed to sell him this summer.
The Ligue 1 outfit are reportedly readying a £35m for the Chilean and are prepared to offer him a very lucrative contract. They may also be able to offer him the chance to play with his former Barca teammate, Neymar.
In light of these circumstances, City manager Pep Guardiola appears to have accepted defeat in his pursuit of Sanchez and has already identified the man he wants instead.
The Spaniard will utilise the club's wealth once more by going after Europe's most sought-after commodity, Monaco's Kylian Mbappe.
According to Goal, the Qatari-owned club will make the French international their top priority if they lose out on Sanchez to PSG.
Supposedly, Guardiola was keen on signing both and the thought of those two alongside Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus is enough to give any defender nightmares.
Relations between the Ligue 1 club and City are fairly good as well, particularly as the Premier League giants are close to paying a very sizeable fee for left-back, Benjamin Mendy.
Losing out on Sanchez may almost be a blessing in disguise if they get the 18-year-old star instead.
