WWE Battleground takes place later today and the main event of the show between Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship is sure to be an exciting one.
For the first time in over 10 years, a Punjabi Prison match will take place in the WWE, and with the WWE title on the line, it's bound to be a spectacle. It is also likely to be the last match in the feud between The Maharaja and The Viper.
Mahal is expected to win the match since the Punjabi Prison stipulation was selected by him, but recent reports have suggested an interesting twist is coming in his booking.

According to The Dirty Sheets via Sportskeeda, Mahal's WWE Championship reign could be coming to an end very soon. While he is expected to retain his title tonight against Orton at Battleground, he is not expected to have the title still come SummerSlam in August.
Sportskeeda has also reported that WWE no longer having their major title on The Mahajara is an indication that the company is putting less emphasis on their plans to exploit the huge population of India.
We knew this was coming eventually. Mahal wasn't going to be the WWE Champion forever, but many expected WWE to try and capitalize on their India market by having him walk into their second biggest show of the year as their champion. If reports are to be believed though, that isn't going to be the case.
The most likely person that he could lose the championship to would be John Cena since he is the biggest face on the SmackDown Live roster at the moment. Mahal could then receive his rematch for the title at SummerSlam, a match he would lose.
Following that, most speculation has suggested Baron Corbin will then cash in his Money in the Bank contract and claim the title from The Leader of the Cenation, leaving WWE's biggest party of the summer as WWE Champion.
A cash in by The Lone Wolf on Cena for the WWE title would effectively push Mahal out of the title picture as Corbin would be the new top heel on the SmackDown Live roster. In turn, this would end his major push as well.
