Battleground was a night filled with shock returns, title changes and entertaining matches.

One match in particular however has given the fans the first announced match for Summer Slam which is just four weeks away.

A worthy challenger?

Battleground saw a women's fatal 5-way elimination match take place with a chance to challenge current champion Naomi at Summer Slam on the line.

Natalya, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Lana and Tamina all battled it out during the match to try and earn their ticket to Brooklyn.

Only one could move forward to the title match though and that proved to be the Queen of Hearts as Natalya outlasted her competition.

It came down to just Natalya and Charlotte in the end and the entire match changed after Charlotte attempted a high risk moonsault.

It certainly was high risk as Charlotte found nothing but the raised knees of Natalya who counted the move perfectly.

The Queen of hearts would then slam the back of Charlotte's head into the bottom turnbuckle leaving her seemingly out cold in the ring.

After dragging her lifeless body to the centre, Natalya would earn her place at Summer Slam after picking up the three count.

The night wouldn't end there for Natalya however as she would then come face to face with her Summer Slam opponent Naomi.

The Smackdown Live Women's Champion would come to the ring in order to try and shake the hand of her new number one contender.

Natalya would not go along with the sign of respect and would instead simply walk away from the Champion and her glowing belt.

With the two now on a collision course until Summer Slam, they will surely clash numerous times over the coming weeks.

Natalya and Naomi however may have an added threat to watch out for in the shape of Carmella.

While right now, Natalya vs Naomi will be advertised for Summer Slam, Carmella could cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase any time before then and possibly even claim the title ahead of Summer Slam.
