Liverpool may be prepared to wait until next year to sign Naby Keita, but it would appear the 22-year-old is desperate to complete a move to Anfield this summer.
His club, RB Leipzig, are refusing to budge on their £70 million valuation and so recently rejected a £66 million bid from the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp is now weighing up whether or not to continue his pursuit after it emerged Keita will have a release clause of £48 million next summer.
It's fast becoming apparent that Keita wants the move to happen now, though, after he dropped a big hint on social media yesterday.
Eagle-eyed Liverpool fans noticed that Keita has started following Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino - not to mention a Firmino fan's account - on Instagram.
Football players follow each other all the time, but it's surely more than just a coincidence that Keita chose two Liverpool stars to follow on Instagram - at the same time, too, it must be said.
Keita hasn't just been making headlines for his social media activity, after reports revealed a tackle he made on a teammate forced Leipzig's manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl, to cancel training today.
The player on the receiving end of Keita's horror challenge was midfield partner Diego Demme, who had taken him out moments earlier.
Demme was reportedly left 'screaming' after Keita exacted his revenge, with Hasenhuttl ordering the Guinean to apologise - which he did.
Footage has now emerged of the incident and while it's clear to see why Keita was left frustrated, his challenge was nasty and ultimately unnecessary.
Check out Demme's initial tackle and Keita's lunge in the video below.

Ouch. The reaction of Leipzig's players say it all about just how hard Keita went in on Demme, who had to be helped off the pitch after training was cancelled.
Whether Keita's actions get him in trouble with the club remains to be seen, but he'll be hoping they inadvertently force a move to Liverpool.
