Romelu Lukaku couldn't have hoped to make a much better start to his Manchester United career.A goal on his debut, followed by a sublime effort against Manchester City in the first ever Manchester derby outside of the UK, has given Jose Mourinho much to smile about.Seventy-five million pounds is a lot to spend on a striker that many believe lacks a first touch, but Lukaku is still just 24-years-old and has plenty of time to realise his potential. That's the opinion of United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, who claims his former employers have bought Lukaku at the "perfect time"."He's proven himself at Everton. His challenge now is to make another step up and to prove himself at his new club as well," Van Nistelrooy told Sky Sports."It's different playing at United to playing at Everton, so it will be a mental step, too. The pressure is different so, if he's capable of dealing with that, I can't see any problems."I also think having better players around him will help and I think he'll fit in really well. I expect he'll start hitting his peak now."From the club's point of view, it's the perfect time to sign him. Over the next six, seven or eight years, United will hopefully have a great centre-forward in Romelu Lukaku."Lukaku has his fair share of doubters and only until he guides United to the Premier League title will they really be silenced. It's Chelsea fans who have been most vocal about Lukaku's flaws after he rejected rejoining them in favour of United. It comes as no real surprise, then, that one Chelsea fan has created a video of Lukaku against Real Madrid on Sunday to try and highlight how bad he was. However, rather embarrassingly, the video doesn't reflect that badly on Lukaku; if anything, it actually shows just how good he is at holding up play. Check out the video below.

LUKAKU VS REAL MADRID

The video, humorously titled: "Lukaku against Real Madrid's C team who don't even have pubic hair," quickly received traction, but fans rightly pointed out Lukaku actually looked pretty good.

TWITTER REACTS

OK, so Lukaku misplaced one or two passes and missed a few headers, but was he really bad enough to make a compilation video about his performance? Probably not.

Perhaps this will mark the end of Chelsea fans trying to mock Lukaku's performances - after all, Alvaro Morata's debut is on Wednesday...
