Sunday night brought about the battleground PPV and also saw the return of two very different entities from WWE's past.

The main event of the Smackdown exclusive show saw the Punjabi Prison Match made a grand return for the main event.

No title match?

The Punjabi Prison held Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship clash which also saw three other men get involved.

The Singh Brothers - as they have become accustomed to got involved in the match after they emerged from under the ring mid way through the match.

The second big return on the night saw the Great Khali make an appearance just as Orton was set to escape the Prison.

Khali shook the structure until Orton lost his place and then the giant would choke the Viper for long enough that Mahal was able to climb out and claim victory.

While it was an exciting finish to a well executed match, it could now lead to one big shock decision for Summer Slam.

During Monday's episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez mentioned that the company could be considering not having Mahal defend the WWE Championship at Summer Slam.

For several months now fans have been expecting to see Mahal defend the title against the returning john Cena at Summer Slam.

However the introduction of Khali is rumoured to be making them consider a tag team match instead so that they can further create a bond between the two Punjabi superstars.

If Khali and Mahal team together at Summer Slam, it is very unlikely that the Championship would be defended at the second biggest event of the year.

Enemies turned allies?

If WWE goes ahead with the rumoured tag team match and pit the team of Khali and Mahal against Randy Orton, the Viper would also need a partner.

If the initial plans were to have Cena face Mahal at Summer Slam, it could be very likely that he will feature in the match alongside Orton.

Orton and Cena are no strangers to each other but if they were to come together and form a team at Summer Slam, it certainly would be an interesting dynamic.
