Could Neymar be on his way to Paris?

PSG's summer business

The Parisien giants finished 2nd to Monaco last season and improvements are being made to the squad.

Neymar's good friend Dani Alves was brought in on a free transfer from Juventus after PSG made a late swoop for the veteran full back, taking him from under the nose of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

The only other signing thus far was left-back Yuri Berchiche, a €13m acquisition from Real Sociedad.

Qatari owned PSG certainly have the funds to sign Neymar but the player himself must decide where his future lies.

Barcelona's Coutinho pursuit

Meanwhile, Barcelona are making moves to sign Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

The 25-year-old Brazilian grew up alongside Neymar in the national team youth set-up and the club's pursuit of Coutinho could be construed as a method to convince Neymar to stay.

Neymar would surely reject PSG if the Catalan giants could secure the unlikely signing of Coutinho.

However, Jurgen Klopp has no intention of selling up.

“Yes, you can say he is not for sale,” said Klopp. “But that’s not since this morning or yesterday, it’s not been any different. Phil is a very important player for us.

“I’m not surprised that any club is interested in players at Liverpool. The very important message is that we are not a selling club and that’s how it is."
