Reports of Kyrie Irving requesting a trade off of the Cleveland Cavaliers, fueled by his desire to play away from LeBron James, shook the foundation of the NBA.Suddenly, the Eastern Conference is looking wide open for a team like the Boston Celtics to take over, and LeBron's future in Cleveland looks murkier than ever. James' streak of seven-straight NBA Finals appearance may be in danger - or he might overcome it all because he is LeBron after all. No matter how it plays out, it's become one of the biggest stories in ages. There's an air of Kobe Bryant-Shaquille O'Neal to the split apparently happening between two of the Cavaliers' three star players, but it may not be as dire as it's been painted. Just ask King James himself.Early Tuesday morning, as digital media outlets tweeted out the latest happenings regarding Cleveland, Kyrie and LeBron, James decided to respond to the situation directly himself. The King took to social media to knock down two separate reports about the situation. The first stemmed from a report from Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, who dropped a few salacious lines in his report on Derrick Rose joining the Cavaliers."[Rose is] also looking at a potential starting spot in the same lineup with LeBron James, now that Irving has asked for a trade and James is eager to see him off," Vardon wrote. Numerous outlets saw the article and aggregated that line, accentuating the "eager to see him off" bit, which seems pretty big coming from someone covering the team locally. James saw SLAM Magazine tweet their version of it, and knocked it down with a #NotFacts tweet:

The fun doesn't stop there, though. ESPN's Stephen A. Smith dropped his own outlandish report, stating the sources he has regarding the Irving-James situation indicate that James "would be tempted" to fight Kyrie if he was in front of him.

Here's the clip, featuring some not-so-safe-for-work from Stephen A. regarding what his LeBron sources tell him:

Surprisingly enough, a grown man focused on building an empire is not interested in fighting his teammate. James, once again quote tweeting SLAM Magazine, put an end to that rumor as well:

Why SLAM Magazine got the brunt of James' heat is unclear - it's probably just the source he saw promoting the content on social media channels while on vacation - but those are two serious rejections from James.

The master of the chasedown block is at it again.
