It was revealed last week that Jack Wilshere doesn’t feature in Arsene Wenger’s plans for the new season and Arsenal are subsequently listening to offers for the midfielder. The 25-year-old failed to make a significant impact on loan at Bournemouth last season and he returned to Arsenal in April after sustaining a broken fibula against Tottenham.“I’m sad about this injury because Jack is a great player with a great football brain,” Wenger was quoted as saying by the Guardian at the time. “His career has been stopped by many injuries. At the top level the most important thing is consistency. When a player has been out for a while, the game is of such an intensity that it always takes you a while to get your confidence back.“You have to be consistently present. When you look at all the players who are at the top level in the world like Cristiano Ronaldo, these guys play 50 or 60 games a year. They have the luck of not being stopped by injuries.“You’re always sad when a guy of Jack’s quality is stopped by problems.”

Several clubs are keen on Wilshere

Injuries have plagued Wilshere’s topsy-turvy career and the England international, who was once regarded as one of the most talented young footballers in Europe, now faces an uncertain future.

Italian outfit Sampdoria made a £6 million bid for Wilshere earlier this month while the Turkish club Antalyaspor are understood to have made an official enquiry for the player.

"We made an enquiry and are in talks but Arsenal want a lot for Wilshere,” Antalyaspor president Ali Safak Ozturk was quoted as saying by the Mirror. "It will be a difficult move to pull of."

However, it seems Wilshere has no desire to move to Turkey - or Italy, for that matter.

Wilshere knows which club he wants to sign for

According to the Independent, Wilshere wants to stay close to London if he leaves Arsenal this summer.

And if he could choose a club to sign for, it would be West Ham.

Unfortunately for Wilshere, the Hammers are yet to make an official approach for him. But Slaven Bilic might be tempted to take action now he knows the player is keen on a move to the London Stadium.

West Ham have already made four excellent signings this summer - Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marco Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez have all arrived - and Wilshere, provided he can keep himself fit, would surely be another terrific addition to their squad.
