Devaney makes Dons loan switch

Barnsley midfielder Martin Devaney has joined MK Dons on an emergency one-month loan deal.

The 29-year-old former Watford winger has made only five appearances for the Tykes this season and has found a starting place hard to come by following the arrival of Adam Hammill in August.

Devaney signed for Barnsley from Watford for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2005 and made 173 first-team appearances, scoring 18 goals.

He is expected to go straight into Paul Ince's squad for Saturday's home match with Bristol Rovers.
