Arsenal's summer continues to be dominated by talk of Alexis Sanchez's likely departure.

With the Chilean refusing to commit to an extension, it's easy to forget that he's not the only Gunners star entering the final year of his current deal.

Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are the other notable contract rebels at the club, although there seems to have been some progress on tying down the former.

The futures of players like Kieran Gibbs and Jack Wilshere are also uncertain - but it's the trio of Sanchez, Ozil, and Oxlade-Chamberlain that are rightly causing the most concern.

That marks a remarkable turnaround in form for the Ox.

Having struggled for consistency in his six years at the Emirates, the former Southampton man finally started to look like the dynamic, creative player he was always supposed to be towards the end of last season.

Should he leave north London, there are plenty of clubs ready to take a punt on him. Liverpool have been linked with him most heavily, while Manchester City and Chelsea are the other names regularly mentioned in connection with the 23-year-old.

A move to any of those sides would cause a stir. However, if The Sun's latest report is correct - and yes, there's every chance the newspaper may be wide of the mark - then Stoke City are also preparing to make a bid.

A surprise move

A £25million deal is allegedly being discussed between the Potters and Oxlade-Chamberlain's representatives.

It would break a club record for Stoke and could be the statement Mark Hughes needs amidst a disappointing transfer window so far.

Key man Marco Arnautovic has departed for West Ham, following Jon Walters and Glenn Whelan out of the bet365 Stadium.

Hughes hasn't spent a single penny on his signings, with Darren Fletcher and Josh Tymon arriving on free transfers and Kurt Zouma being brought in on loan.

For the Ox, it would certainly be a strange move on paper. Perhaps he'll take inspiration from Wilshere's willingness to move to Bournemouth last summer and view Stoke as a place where he can revive his career on a more permanent basis.

Should Oxlade-Chamberlain move to Stoke if given the chance? Have your say in the comments.
