It's remarkable to think that just a few weeks ago, Antonio Conte was said to be furious with Chelsea's lack of activity in the transfer window.

The champions' squad is looking healthier than ever following the additions of Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Alvaro Morata.

If Conte had been asked what his priorities were at the start of the summer, he'd surely have said a centre-back, a striker, and a central midfielder.

With three weeks to go until the start of the new season, he's already secured all three.

Such is the ridiculous nature of the current market, however, that there's little chance Chelsea will be stopping there.

Some of the players they continue to be linked with make perfect sense - others, it's difficult to envisage where they'd even fit.

According to the Daily Mail, Conte is still monitoring four main targets in a spree that could reach £250million if he successfully lands all of them.

Unsurprisingly, as a former Juventus and Italy manager, the Blues boss retains an interest in Serie A.

Four huge targets

The Old Lady's full-back Alex Sandro is on his wish list, as is Inter Milan midfielder Antonio Candreva.

While Sandro could cost as much as £60m, Candreva would come much cheaper. Chelsea are even confident they can negotiate a deal for less than £30m.

That said, money appears to be no object.

Virgil van Dijk has been heavily linked with Liverpool, but Chelsea have spotted an opportunity with the Dutchman refusing to play for Southampton in pre-season.

Another striker

Finally, a back-up for Morata has to be a priority, on the assumption that Diego Costa is on his way out.

Michy Batshuayi made just one league start last season, hence their interest in Swansea's Fernando Llorente.

The forward found the back of the net 15 times as he kept his side up and crucially, he worked under Conte at Juventus.

Even if none of these deals were to go ahead, Chelsea have already spent £140m - so they have to be pleased with how their summer has gone so far.
