We’re now just one month away before the most lucrative fight in history takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. On August 26, UFC superstar Conor McGregor will take on boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, the 40-year-old who is aiming to secure the 50th and final victory of his illustrious career. Both fighters stand to pocket a remarkable $100 million each from the bout, which some boxing purists have described as a farce. However much of a farce it might be, it’s certainly got people talking.Almost every current and former boxer has had their say on the fight in recent weeks, including Mike Tyson.Tyson has described McGregor as a “dumb***” for taking the fight - despite the huge money on the table - and believes the Irishman will be “killed” by Mayweather next month.Tyson, who accidentally referred to McGregor as ‘McConor’ during the interview, told Pardon My Take podcast, per the Mirror: "McGregor is going to get killed boxing."I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that's what it's all about: Can the boxer beat the MMA guy?"McConor [sic] put his dumba*** in a position where he's gonna get knocked out because this guy's been doing this all his life since he was a baby."McConor [sic] can't kick and grab and stuff so he won't stand much of a chance."McGregor took the biggest sucker rules in the history of boxing."

McGregor replies to Tyson's comment on Twitter

McGregor being McGregor was never going to sit back and take this - even from the fearsome Tyson.

And the 29-year-old replied with the perfect tweet: “That's nice Mike, but you're looking at the new Don King here, son. Money is mine.”

He then posted another tweet in which he stated: “You are all going to eat your words for the rest of your days, while I eat lobster for the rest of mine.”

Money McGregor's main motivation for taking the fight?

Judging by these tweets, it would appear that money is McGregor’s main motivation for taking the Mayweather fight.

But after all the trash-talk this month, he will be expected to back up his words with a performance in the ring.

McGregor has promised to knock Mayweather out inside four rounds, but deep down he knows he faces the biggest challenge of his life.

The bookmakers have Mayweather down as the firm favourite at odds of 1/6.

McGregor, on the other hand, is priced at 4/1 to cause a major shock.
