The Houston Rockets failed to get to the Western Conference Conference Finals stage of the NBA Playoffs this season, so this offseason, they needed to make sure they supplied James Harden with the teammates to push the team further next season, and possibly compete in the Finals for the title. Before free agency had even begun, the Rockets showed their desire to win a championship by pulling off a trade for Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers.Paul was traded to Houston in exchange for Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Montrezl Harrell, Darrun Hilliard, DeAndre Liggins, Lou Williams, Kyle Wiltjer, a future first round pick, and cash considerations. The addition of Paul has got Rockets fans excited, as the arrival of the nine-time NBA All-Star has put the team in a stronger position than what they were last season when they were knocked out of the playoffs at the Conference Semifinals stages.CP3 and Harden have already given Houston a taste of what's to come next season, and it looks very exciting.Harden and CP3 were seen, along with Trevor Ariza, playing together on a court at UCLA, connecting well and finding each other with ease, which is bound to give a lot of Rockets fans confidence heading into the new season. They even had this little moment of magic on the court as well.

Paul can help the Rockets reach the Finals, as his addition will put the team close to competing with the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference. The point guard averaged 18.1 points, five rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game last season.

After just missing out on the MVP award for the season, Harden needed some star power alongside him to push the team further than they have ever gone before in the postseason, in order to take the team to the next level, and it looks like he's got just that in the form of the 32-year-old.
