Kylian Mbappe is reportedly ready to leave Monaco as Real Madrid continue to hover.

The 18-year-old scored 26 goals in all competitions last season, form which has caught the eye of the European champions.

A picture has been doing the rounds of the starlet in his bedroom just four years ago, surrounded by posters of his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

There's now a definite possibility that the striker will be playing alongside the Portuguese next season, but only if Monaco don't stand in his way.

Mbappe himself has been relatively quiet, leaving his father to deal with any offers that come his way.

And as per Sky Sports, Monaco have denied reports that Real have made a world record £161million bid.

However, regardless of whether that particular rumour is true, Zinedine Zidane will be encouraged by the most recent developments.

According to the Mirror, Mbappe has decided he wants out of the Stade Louis II, going back on his original plan to stay for at least one more year.

Mbappe wants to go

It's claimed the forward feels let down by the club's decision to sell several of their key players, with Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva, and Tiemoue Bakayoko all having departed for the Premier League.

Thomas Lemar and Fabinho are also being linked with moves away, so the chances of Monaco retaining their title look remote.

What's particularly frustrating is that they had convinced Mbappe and his representatives that it would be better for his development for him to stay because he would at least be playing regular football.

While he knew Leonardo Jardim's squad would lose one or two star players, he has been disappointed that such an exodus has been allowed to happen.

It's this sudden change of heart that has alerted Real, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain the only other clubs who could afford his remarkable price tag.
