Come the end of September, gamers will have another edition of FIFA to gorge on that is set to take the franchise to new heights.

FIFA 18 will feature Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as the cover star and the legendary original Ronaldo, if you will, shall grace the cover of the Icon edition.

But, with every passing trailer EA releases, fans seem to notice little things that are bound to be in the next installment of the hit franchise.

On this occasion, it is a skill players can do they could not in FIFA 17.

In fact, it used to be one of the most popular moves on the game before EA unceremoniously took it out of last year's version.

As Youtuber MattHDGamer points out in his brief video below, it seems as if players can now tap the ball round their opponent and run onto the ball again judging by a recent FIFA 18 trailer.

Furthermore, it's a relatively easy skill to pull off. All you have to do is knock the analog forward twice in quick succession with the opponent bearing down on you and you're away.

On FIFA 17, though, you could only knock the ball ahead of you with this trick which made it harder for attackers to evade defenders. Take a look:

The skill move is known as the 'bridge' and it is sure to make things more interesting for attackers and open up more space on FIFA 18 for a more exciting game.

The game is expected to retail at around £45 (supermarkets normally cut a better deal than the reported £49.99) and should be available in the final week of September.

Going off the past few years, the demo will be available just two weeks before the official launch date and if you do purchase any of the special editions of the game, you will be able to play three days earlier than anyone else!

Well, except those that also buy the editions, of course.

With The Journey 2, an improved career mode and new features in FUT, FIFA 18 looks set to be everything the fans had hoped for.
