After just one season in Turin, Dani Alves bid farewell to Juventus and made the move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian full-back joined the Bianconeri on a free transfer from Barcelona in the summer of 2016 and was a resounding success in Italy, guiding the Old Lady to a domestic double.

Alves also played a crucial role in their brilliant Champions League campaign, which saw Massimiliano Allegri's side fall at the last hurdle as they were humbled by Real Madrid in Cardiff, losing 4-1.

It was rumoured that unsavoury words said in the dressing room by Alves in that final led to his contract being mutually terminated but it seems the Brazilian star holds no grudges against the Scudetto holders.

In fact, it is quite the opposite, with the 34-year-old taking to Instagram to post a very emotional message to the club and its loyal fans.

ALVES' POST

Part of the post translated reads: “I just want the good of all and I just wanted to help Juventus be a club the size of their expectations and the size of the feelings of the people who support this club.

“Today is a day of thanks for the opportunity to have been part of this club even for the short time.

“I’m sure they miss me, no place is the same after the passage of good crazy, it may be better or worse but it’s impossible!"

Clearly, Alves was just desperate to land Juve the Champions League, a major trophy which has eluded them in recent years.

The Bianconeri have lost out in two of the previous three finals, being undone by Real Madrid a few months ago and succumbing to the might of Luis Enrique's treble-winning Barcelona side in 2015.

Now, Alves will try to lift the trophy in the French capital after rejecting the chance to join Manchester City this summer.
