The mind games have well and truly begun ahead of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather's boxing match on August 26th in Las Vegas.

McGregor arguably came out on top from the recent set of press conferences, taunting and mocking his American opponent for being old and not able to read.

Mayweather hit back with his own jibes, one of which about tapping out at UFC 196, but was unable to verbally compete with the loud-mouthed Irishman.

However, the tables are about to turn. According to various sources, including the Daily Mail, Mayweather *could* be joined by none other than Nate Diaz on his ringwalk.

As we know, it was Diaz who famously submitted McGregor in the Octagon last March.

There isn't much that phases McGregor, but seeing the man who made him tap out alongside his opponent will undoubtedly hold some sort of effect.

Mike Tyson has also joined in on the mind games by claiming McGregor is "going to get killed" in the boxing ring against the undefeated Mayweather.

"McGregor is going to get killed in boxing," Tyson said said on Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take podcast, per the Independent.

"I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that's what it's all about: can the boxer beat the MMA guy?

"McGregor put his dumb a** in a position where he's gonna get knocked out because this guy's been doing this all his life since he was a baby.

"McGregor can't kick and grab and stuff so he won't stand much of a chance. He took the biggest sucker rules in the history of boxing."

The odds are firmly stacked against McGregor, but he's been training hard and appears to be reaping the benefits - and then some.

The Notorious posted a picture of himself on Instagram earlier today looking absolutely huge, with his arms noticeably bigger and veins bulging. Check it out below.

MCGREGOR'S BEEN PUMPING IRON

Wow. McGregor has been undergoing something called 'fast conditioning', which his team claim is the "greatest performance enhancing training program known to man".

Whatever he's doing, it definitely seems to be working for him.

McGregor is renowned for his powerful left hand and with more muscle behind the punch, Mayweather could be in trouble.
