Conor McGregor's sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi has revealed just how hard the Irishman is training for the massive contest against Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather will enter the mega-money fight on the back of a 49-0 record in boxing. However, Malignaggi believes that McGregor won't be easy to beat having endured some fierce hits from Notorious first hand.

According to his training partner, the UFC lightweight champion delivers a hard and accurate punch and has essentially warned Mayweather that he is going to 'feel it'.

Malignaggi said: "Do you want to know if he hits hard? Yeah, I mean, he’s not a weak puncher. I’ll say that.

“People are dying for me to say, ‘Oh he hits hard!’ Oh, his big left hand.’ Listen, if Conor hits you, you’re going to feel it. He’s a grown man.

“I’d say he’s an above average puncher. If he lands a shot with 10 oz gloves, it will probably get your attention.

“Is it ‘Oh my God power’? No, ‘Oh my God power’ is very rare.

"I've sparred thousands of rounds in my life, I've sparred hundreds of people in my life... the amount people that I sparred that had 'Oh my God' power is probably only a handful."

Other than the force of McGregor's punches, Malignaggi commended the UFC fighter's accuracy, which he believes could be his greatest strength and attribute heading into the clash against Mayweather.

"More than anything he's accurate and I think that's what plays into the success he has with his punches. Nothing was like overwhelmingly powerful. I mean, he's got power. He's more accurate I'd say than anything."

McGregor was embroiled in a heated exchange with boxing legend Mike Tyson after the 51-year-old claimed that the Irish fighter will get 'killed' against Mayweather.

The 29-year-old replied saying: "That's nice Mike. But you're looking at the new Don King here, son. Money is mine."
