Manchester United fans may be delighted with the signing of Romelu Lukaku, but they yearn for Zlatan Ibrahimovic's return when he recovers his long-term knee injury.
The 35-year-old is undergoing rehabilitation at Carrington after Jose Mourinho offered the club's facilities to him, despite the fact he was released on June 30.
United owe a lot to Ibrahimovic. He arrived last summer on a free transfer and inspired a memorable Community Shield, EFL Cup and Europa League treble.
He may not have played in the Europa League final, but he scored a number of vital goals in the group stages and thereafter.
Quite how Mourinho would use Ibrahimovic if he did sanction a return is unknown - after all, neither the Swede or Lukaku would settle for the role as second-choice striker.
Nevertheless, Mourinho has dropped a major hint that Zlatan could rejoin in the coming months when he's available for action.
"We spent big money on a striker because, with strikers, you either spend or you don't get," the Portuguese told reporters in the early hours of Thursday morning.
"And we spent because of what happened to Zlatan and we can not allow ourselves to be without an important, strong striker for the first six months of the season."
Ibrahimovic may be 35, but he remains one of the world's best strikers and his experience would be vital in helping Lukaku improve.
The self-proclaimed 'God of Manchester' works hard to maintain fitness and athleticism - and the results are now there for all to see.
Ibrahimovic has posted a picture of himself alongside King Kong on Instagram today to show he's in incredible shape as he recovers from injury. Check it out.
"KING AND KONG"
What an absolute machine. His caption simply reads: "King and Kong."
Ibrahimovic's recovery from the ACL injury he suffered against Anderlecht has reportedly shocked doctors and he's now on course to return in October.
According to The Sun, should Ibrahimovic continue his rehabilitation so successfully, Mourinho could offer him a short-term deal to stay until the end of the 2017/18 season.
