Earlier in the offseason, it was reported that LeBron James would not be actively recruiting anybody for the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer. If you read between the lines of a recent report though, that isn't the case.

Last week, Kyrie Irving announced his desire to leave the Cavaliers before the start of the new season, and many believe it will happen. The destination which the 25-year-old wants to be traded to is one of the following - the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, or the Minnesota Timberwolves.

On Monday though, a story emerged that there were two strong candidates to land Irving, one being the Timberwolves, the other was the Phoenix Suns. According to recent reports, James now might be helping the Cavaliers recruit a player from one of those teams that could be used in that trade.

Chris Haynes of ESPN has reported that LeBron James has invited newest Cleveland recruit, Derrick Rose, to work out with him this week in Las Vegas along with Suns star Eric Bledsoe.

What we could infer from this is James is actively recruiting for his franchise by trying to convince Bledsoe to accept a trade to the Cavaliers that would see Irving go in the opposite direction to the Suns. Or, it could be a simple case of friends training together as James and Bledsoe both have the same agent.

It has been widely speculated that the four-time MVP will not use his player option in 2018 and will instead opt to leave the franchise in the hunt for another championship before retirement, but the arrival of the Suns star at the team could change all of that.

Bledsoe averaged 21.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 1.4 steals for Phoenix last season and would be a fine replacement for Irving if he was to leave the Cavaliers this offseason, which looks more and more likely as each day passes.

Nevertheless, it makes for exciting times for Cleveland fans as not only could the arrival of Bledsoe to the team bring a fresh new look for the franchise and potentially push them ahead of the Golden State Warriors, but it could also keep James with the team beyond 2018.
