Liverpool fans are fearing that this summer transfer window could be an absolute disaster for their club. Not only are the Reds seemingly struggling to sign their two main transfer targets - Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita - but they now face a fight to keep hold of Philippe Coutinho.Various reports suggest that Barcelona have already had a £72 million bid rejected for the Brazilian - but they aren’t going to stop there. However, Jurgen Klopp has done his very best to reassure Liverpool supporters that their star man will not be leaving in the coming weeks."If I say he is not for selling, he is not for selling," he declared. "There is nothing else to say. It’s a club decision, it’s my decision. That’s how it is.

"I can say 20 times, he is not for sale. If you ask the other question the other way and I say, there has been no assurance, you make the story the other way. There is no story for me. Whatever happens from their side, I say he is not for sale. The answer is — not for sale."

That’s all well and good but Klopp knows only too well that it’s nigh on impossible to keep hold of a player when a bigger club come calling.

Klopp was powerless to prevent the likes of Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski from leaving Dortmund to join Bayern Munich and must be fearing a similar scenario with Coutinho.

After all, you’ve either got to be either extremely loyal or extremely foolish to turn down the chance to join Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar at one of the greatest clubs in world football.

And the latest update from Sky Sports suggest Barca are increasingly confident of landing their man.

Sky Sports have a Coutinho update

They believe that Coutinho is willing to make the move to the Camp Not if the deal “can be done amicably.”

Of course, Liverpool certainly don't plan to be ‘amicable’ as Barcelona attempt to steal their best player but they might find it very difficult to stand in Coutinho’s way.

But, as you can see, the update from Sky Sports also claims that Coutinho isn’t for sale and is also happy at the club.

Barca aren’t going to give up, though, and this saga is set to rumble on.
