On paper, it could be one of the easiest fights of the half-century of bouts, too. After all, it is his opponent transcending sports in the Frankenstein match that has people both skeptical and excited.

His opponent is unbeaten across an illustrious 21-year career and is pound-for-pound one of the world’s finest boxers. It’s no wonder that Mike Tyson thinks Money’s Irish opponent will be “killed” come August.

Of course, though, you can never write off McGregor and he will doing all he can to ensure he gives Mayweather a challenge in Las Vegas. You just need to follow him on Instagram to admire his recent, rapid conditioning.

Fans are simply hoping that it’s a vaguely competitive fight and isn’t simply over in the first few rounds. Given the amount of build-up and the ticket prices, it’d be somewhat underwhelming to see McGregor knocked out immediately.

But, whatever happens, the two will have created a unique event. It is a match-up that perhaps should attract bemusement as opposed to excitement yet it remains a captivating concept.

It will, of course, earn a lot of money for the pair, too. When you consider that Mayweather’s nickname is ‘Money’ and his entourage is called ‘The Money Team’, it’s not difficult to get the idea.

If you follow the 40-year-old on social media, you’ll know that he isn’t afraid to flaunt about his earnings either.

Well, Mayweather has kept up his form and done it again – announcing his ‘champion prediction’ for the fight. Naturally, he penned this caption alongside a photo of him with on a private jet with wads of bank notes.

Check it out below:

Isn’t the prediction just typical?

While he could have announced his hopes of flooring the Notorious in a certain round, he simply preached the truth: “I'm gonna make a $hit t$n of money on August 26th.” And what an elegant way of putting it, Floyd.

ESPN project that the fight will earn a total of $606.1 million. How that will be distributed is unclear but you don’t need to be a mathematician to gather that the fighters will earn a lot how ever it’s split.

Interestingly, though, Mayweather won’t necessary break his record for money earned from a fight. With his Pacquiao bout accumulating $623.5 million, there’s a chance he could have to settle for a couple million less. Gutting.
