Although he may not be involved in the Universal Championship picture right now, WWE fans are still interested to see how Seth Rollins’ current storyline with Dean Ambrose will unfold.

In recent weeks, The Kingslayer has found himself aligning with former Shield stablemate as the duo have been locked in a battle with The Miz, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.

RELUCTANCE

There’s clearly been some reluctance on-screen from The Lunatic Fringe, as he’s constantly reminded Rollins of his actions some years ago when he hit both him and Roman Reigns with chair shots to the back when The Shield imploded.

He then embarked on a brilliant singles run which saw him capture the Money in the Bank briefcase, and performed the heist of the century at WrestleMania 31 to become the WWE Champion.

While he hasn’t hit the same heights as a face, Rollins has tried his best to get on Ambrose’s good side and that saw them pick up a three-on-two handicap win over The Miztourage earlier this week on Monday Night RAW.

It came as no surprise that Ambrose didn’t acknowledge the fist bump following their big win, but another action after their match has reportedly annoyed Triple H to such an extent that they apparently have heat backstage, per Billi Bhatti of the Dirty Sheets Podcast.

HEAT?

Sharing the news over on Sportskeeda, Billi focused on the moment Ambrose and Rollins hugged after their big win on Monday night and that’s said to be crucial as they head towards SummerSlam.

He’s claimed that the WWE is building towards a big moment where Ambrose and Rollins finally engage in a traditional Shield fist bump, something that became synonymous with them when they donned the tactical vests and caused havoc on the main roster, and we’ve seen that Ambrose currently wants no part of it.

He added that it is expected to finally happen as a feel-good moment, and it’s thought to take place once they capture the RAW tag team championships at SummerSlam from Sheamus and Cesaro in Brooklyn.

Billi noted that those backstage felt a hug was more significant than a fist bump and didn’t think they should have done that after victory, especially when you take into account the moment they are building up to.

With Sheamus set to take some time off to film a movie, it looks likely that Ambrose and Rollins will be the one to dethrone them, especially since The Hardy Boyz are locked in a rivalry with The Revival.

The embrace shouldn’t derail their plans at all, as it could have been a slight oversight on their part but you can understand why a small detail like that would annoy the bosses.
