WWE is all about dream matches these days.
Another dream match involving John Cena is set to take place next month. This specific match has been one in the making for years.
The former WWE Champion is being advertised for the Raw live event on August 27th in Tupelo, Mississippi at The BCS Arena. His opponent will be Samoa Joe.
The other matches advertised for the event include Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman, Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs. The Miztourage, Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt, Enzo vs. Big Cass and Hardy Boyz vs. Rhyno & Heath Slater vs. Cesaro & Sheamus for the Raw Tag Team Championship.
As noted, Cena is set to face Shinsuke Nakamura on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH to determine a new #1 contender to the WWE Championship. The winner of this match will face Jinder Mahal at the SummerSlam PPV (pay-per-view) event next month.
If you are a fan of Cena and enjoy seeing him on WWE programming, then you are in for a treat as he is set to wrestle at several WWE events this year.
Although he has reduced his schedule with the sports entertainment company over the last year, he will be working on both Raw, and Smackdown live events whenever his schedule permits. Also, due to his free agent status, he has certainly hinted at confronting Roman Reigns on Raw in the near future.
