Draymond Green has been enjoying a better summer than most people after winning his second championship and finally being named as the Defensive Player of the Year.

After his achievements last season, the Golden State Warriors star has been enjoying his summer in Europe where he was seen watching the tennis at Wimbledon and spending time with the FC Barcelona team out in Spain.

During his trip to Spain, Green took the opportunity to build his blossoming friendship with Barca and Brazil superstar Neymar as the pair shared a holiday together in Ibiza.

With Barcelona currently in America for pre-season, Draymond wasn't going to miss a chance to see Neymar in action and was present for just the second 'El Clasico' outside of Spain as Barca took on arch rivals Real Madrid in Miami last night.

During the encounter, Green made a half-time appearance on ESPN and spoke about his friendship with Neymar and made some interesting comparisons between the superstars in football and basketball.

"LeBron is more Cristiano [Ronaldo]. Neymar is more like Steph," Green said.

The two-time All-Star didn't give reasons but it does clearly make sense.

LeBron and Ronaldo are dominant physically and athletically whilst Neymar and Curry rely more on skill and finesse to overcome their slighter frames.

Neymar is currently dominating the headlines as he's at the centre of the biggest transfer news of the summer with speculation linking him with a world-record £196 million move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Draymond, who is a Barcelona fan, weighed in on the possible departure of the 25-year-old from Catalunya.

"I think he can really propel a team to the next level," Green said. "When you look at the Golden State Warriors, Steph propelled us to another level, and I think Neymar can do that as well and win championships."

Green is more than likely to switch allegiances to PSG if Neymar makes the move but his focus will soon switch back to matters on the basketball court as the Warriors prepare to defend their title.

The Dubs are sure to face stiffer competition in the Western Conference this year with the Houston Rockets acquiring Chris Paul and the Oklahoma City Thunder bringing in Paul George.

Even the arrival of Jimmy Butler in Minnesota will make them a tougher opponent but despite all of this, Golden State still remain the best team in the league and it'll take something special to beat them.
