The Drive-By Dunk Challenge has become the latest social media craze in recent weeks with several NBA players taking part already.Anthony Davis is the most high-profile player to have performed the stunt, with Jaylen Brown and De'Aaron Fox also joining in on the act.Unfortunately for them, however, they have all been upstaged and in some style.Phoenix Suns high flier Derrick Jones Jr. is nicknamed 'Airplane Mode' and he showed why last season when he finished as runner-up in the dunk contest with some impressive throwdowns.Jones also graced the regular season with some vicious dunks that made people stand up and take notice. Therefore, it was only right for the 20-year-old to take part in the Drive-By Dunk Challenge and he has definitely taken the crown for the most impressive yet.Whilst driving by a court, Jones decided to step out of his car and approach two men innocently shooting hoops together and proceeded to posterise one of them with a nasty dunk.

The dunk even left the poor man on the floor due to the force with which the Suns youngster threw it down. This will take some beating.

Despite the embarrassment, the man will at least be part of the best #DriveByDunkChallenge which is still doing the rounds on social media, even though he was on the receiving end.

The bar has now been set and the next NBA player looking to take part must do something special to beat that.

Jones' vertical is outrageous and we can certainly expect to see more posters next season and throughout his career.

The small forward will want to avenge his loss to the Indiana Pacers' Glenn Robinson III in last year's Slam Dunk Contest and look to come back even better.

Coming out of UNLV in 2016, Jones was initially undrafted but managed to secure a spot on the Phoenix roster after impressing in training camp last summer.

Not many had heard of the young forward prior to his participation in the Slam Dunk Contest - he only played for five minutes in the regular season before appearing in the showpiece event.

Now that he's introduced himself, Jones will have a big season ahead of him as part of a talented young group in Arizona.

The Suns certainly have a bright future ahead of them with Jones, Devin Booker, Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender and this year's number four draft pick Josh Jackson.
