QPR defender Matt Connolly could be back later this month after finally recovering from glandular fever.

The former Arsenal centre-half has been sidelined since coming down with the virus in August.

But he returned to full training earlier this week and could be in line for a first-team return for the trip to Doncaster in a fortnight.

"It's very difficult to determine how long a player can be out with it, as each individual is different," said physio Paul Hunter.

"Thankfully he has had no problems since he returned to full training and now we'll be working hard with him as he builds his fitness up.

"All being well I expect him to be available once the upcoming international break has passed."
