It’s not been the easiest start to his Barcelona career for Nelson Semedo.

Barca signed the 23-year-old from Benfica for around £27 million this summer with the Portuguese international fulfilling his dream of playing for the club he has always had feelings for.

"Since I was little I was always Barca, I always liked them,” he told Mundo Deportivo upon signing.

“Ronaldinho influenced me a lot, because back then I played in midfield like he was. He was my idol. I saw their matches and that influenced me a lot.

“I’ve come to the best team in the world. It is a team with a great structure, and that at the level of football has high quality players. The day of the presentation I knew that I had fulfilled a dream.”

However, the right-back’s dream has turned into a bit of a nightmare.

Last week, he was involved in a training ground bust-up with Neymar which saw the Brazilian storm out of training.

In usual circumstances, it would just be considered a usual petty argument in training - something that occurs at every club on a weekly basis.

But with reports suggesting Neymar is on the brink of a world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain, the incident was blown out of proportion.

Unfortunately, Semedo was caught in the middle of it and might be blamed by some Barcelona fans if Neymar does eventually move to PSG.

Even before the ‘fight’, a video emerged of Neymar putting in a rough tackle on Semedo in a training session.

Do you two players hate each other?

Well, after Barca beat Real Madrid 3-2 in the International Champions Cup in Miami, Neymar and Semedo seemed to reveal what they really think of each other.

While Neymar was in conversation with Madrid’s Marcelo, Semedo came over especially to congratulate his teammate on another impressive performance.

After getting his attention by calling “Ney,” the pair embraced each other with a handshake and a big hug.

It’s nice to see the pair put their troubles behind them - even if it is the last match they play together.

If reports are to be believed, Neymar will be a PSG player in the coming days, becoming the world’s most expensive player in the process.
