When the Houston Rockets made a surprising trade for Los Angeles Clippers star point guard Chris Paul earlier this offseason, many wondered if CP3 would be able to fit in with ball-dominant guard James Harden, who was coming off an MVP-level season for the Rockets.Fortunately, fans got a chance to see the duo in action during a Drew League game on Sunday in Los Angeles.Unsurprisingly, the two NBA superstars looked good together, as they took turns sharing ball-handling duties and feeding each other passes. As you can see in the clip below, they already have quite a bit of chemistry. On this particular play, Harden brings the ball up the court before passing to Paul on his right. From there, Paul cuts left and then finds Harden behind the three-point line for a long-range shot, which Harden buries:

Rockets fans can expect plenty of that this season, as that sort of effortless teamwork bodes well for Houston's future. Harden finished the game with a game-high 27 points and 12 rebounds. He also added six assists and two steals.

Bobby Brown, who is on the Rockets' roster along with Paul and Harden, told ESPN.com after the game that CP3 was a recent addition to the Drew League team, but was welcomed aboard with open arms:

"CP came to the game last week and he was itching to play," Brown said. "After that, he texted me saying, 'Yo, I want to play. Think it would be cool if I could play with y'all?' I said, 'No problem. It's the Drew League, you haven't played yet. You get your shine, you get your welcoming to the Drew on a good team, with your brother [Harden].'

"That was an easy call. He had fun," added Brown, a four-time Drew League champion. "JH always has fun. Me and James have been playing together for the third year in a row."

Brown added that the Rockets plan to train together some more in Los Angeles and then will travel to the Bahamas in late-August before training camp officially starts shortly thereafter.

After going 55-27 last season before falling to the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference Semifinals, the Rockets will be looking to make an even deeper playoff run this year.

If Paul and Harden can continue building off the chemistry they showed on Sunday, the Rockets could give the Golden State Warriors a run for their money in the Western Conference playoffs.
