It's fair to say the summer transfer window has spiralled completely out of control.

Things have been heading towards a nadir for a few years now, and Neymar's imminent €222million move to Paris Saint-Germain is just the culmination.

Elsewhere, Real Madrid and a host of other top clubs seem quite prepared to pay upwards of £100m for 18-year-old Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.

Then there's the strange matter of Gylfi Sigurdsson being rated at £50m by Swansea City.

And if all that isn't ridiculous enough, we're now having to endure the strange fad of announcement videos.

Gone are the days when new signings would be unveiled holding a scarf of their new team, or at most a shirt with their name on it.

The media teams of Chelsea, Southampton, and even Macclesfield Town have all given it a go. Clubs across Europe seem to be competing to come up with the most bizarre way of announcing a new arrival - and it looks like we have a winner.

Sevilla announce Navas

Sevilla's decision to re-sign Jesus Navas is questionable on many levels. The 31-year-old was released by Manchester City after four lacklustre years but has convinced the La Liga outfit to take him on a free transfer.

Cue this absolutely terrible and slightly sinister reveal:

Pep Guardiola handed the Spanish international 12 Premier League starts last season, games in which he failed to impress City's fan base.

Perhaps he'll have more luck back in his homeland, where he won two UEFA Cups back in 2006 and 2007, as he has been known to suffer from severe homesickness.

Navas leaves the Etihad having scored a grand total of just eight goals in 183 appearances.

Sevilla clearly think they've pulled off quite the coup, at least judging by their video.
