Conor McGregor has once again pulled no punches in the media with Floyd Mayweather as the anticipation to their fight builds up.

Mayweather posted a picture on social media last night offering the Irishman the chance to use 8oz gloves instead of the standard 10oz used by boxers at 154 pounds or more, showing he is not afraid of the UFC star's power.

Towards the end of his long boxing career, 'Money' Mayweather began to suffer with brittle hands, which forced him to change his hand wear to a non-punchers glove.

However, McGregor has responded by telling the unbeaten boxer that he can use whatever size gloves that he wants, and that will be wearing the 4oz style that is used by UFC fighters.

"Another handy 12 rounds today. We are prepared to destroy Floyd," McGregor declared on social meda.

"Pick whatever size gloves you want as well little man. I fight with 4oz. I don't give a f*** about the size of the glove.

"I am coming sprinting at you with bricks. Know that. Brittle hands."

McGregor has developed a reputation as a strikingly hard hitter, with 18 KOs from his 21 wins in the UFC, having lost just three contests.

You can see McGregor's post below.

His most recent defeat came when he jumped up weight divisions to clash with Nate Diaz, a fight he ended up losing due to submission.

He jumped to stardom, however, with his 13-second knockout victory over José Aldo in 2015, and has since boosted his reputation thanks to his comments and attitude in press conferences.

Mayweather will without doubt have to be at his very best defensively to avoid the power of McGregor, especially if he wears the 4oz gloves as he claims.

The 40-year-old hasn't been in the ring since 2015, and despite his impressive boxing record and the fact he's a lot more experienced than McGregor, he will certainly be feeling wary of the power that the Irishman has at his disposal.
