Brock Lesnar's future with WWE has seemed to be the talk of the town these past few weeks.

"The Beast" began working for WWE following an incredibly successful NCAA Division I wrestling career. He was sent to WWE's developmental territory of Ohio Valley Wresting (OVW) to learn the ropes of the business in 2000, and made his main roster debut in 2002. Right off the bat Lesnar's sheer size and freakish athletic ability made him a contender for the WWE Championship, and he did just that when he defeated The Rock at the 2002 SummerSlam to win his first ever WWE Title.

Lesnar departed from WWE in 2004 following his WrestleMania match against Goldberg in order to pursue a career in the NFL. He was signed to the Minnesota Vikings and participated in their pre season training camp and made it all the way up the the final round of cuts before being let go in late August.

He then decided to go wrestle for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) for two years before making the decision to embark into a mixed martial arts (MMA) career. Lesnar had a fair amount of success early on, defeating legends such as Frank Mir, Shane Carwin, and Randy Couture en route to winning the UFC heavyweight title. Lesnar decided to retire from fighting in 2012 following back-to-back losses.

WWE welcomed back Lesnar in 2012 where he began an amazing run, which included ending The Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania, squashing John Cena at SummerSlam, and winning both the WWE and Universal Championship. Lesnar made a one off return to UFC when he co-main evented UFC 200 against Mark Hunt. Lesnar won via unanimous decision, however, it was later ruled a No Contest after Lesnar tested positive for banned substances and was handed a one year ban as a result.

After announcing his retirement from MMA once again, Lesnar returned to WWE to win the Universal Championship from Goldberg at WrestleMania 33, as he continues to reign as champion today. Lesnar is currently expected to defend his championship at SummerSlam later this month in a Fatal Four-Way match against Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman. If he loses his title, Lesnar has threatened he will leave WWE.

Rumors have been flying around regarding Lesnar's future with WWE, indicating he could drop his title at SummerSlam in order to return to UFC and have a superfight with UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

But will that really happen? If we take a look at Lesnar's upcoming WWE schedule, he is being advertised for multiple RAW appearances as well as an appearance at the No Mercy pay-per-view (PPV), indicating he won't be leaving after SummerSlam and may not even be dropping the title:

- Monday Night Raw on August 28th
- Monday Night Raw on September 11th
- No Mercy Pay-Per-View on September 24th
- Live event on September 30th

WWE could pull his name from advertisements if plans change, but current advertisements indicate "The Beast" is here to stay in WWE.
