Tyron Woodley and UFC President Dana White's issues have reportedly been resolved.

This past weekend Woodley made another UFC welterweight title defense against Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Demian Maia, who was riding a seven fight win streak against the elite of 170 pounds. Throughout the fight Maia consistently attempted to get Woodley to the ground and implement his submission game, however, Woodley, who has the best takedown defense in the welterweight division, was able to avoid his attempts and keep the fight on the feet.

Woodley was able to land a few nice shots on Maia throughout the bout, but set a new record for least amount of strikes thrown in a UFC title fight. Despite their being two people involved in the fight, "The Chosen one" took the majority of the criticism for the performance - including some from UFC President Dana White.

White claimed that after that performance nobody would want to pay to watch Woodley fight again, and stripped him of the opportunity to fight former welterweight legend Georges St-Pierre upon his Octagon return. Woodley responded to this in an appearance on The MMA Hour, infuriated by White's comments and demanded a public apology or else he would release some dirty information.

Woodley recently did an interview with ESPN to talk on the matter, claiming that his issues with White have suddenly cleared up (quotes via MMA Fighting):

"There was some yelling back and forth. At the end of the conversation, I felt pretty comfortable. It ended on a positive note. Two men can talk on the phone and maybe not agree on everything, but at least respect each other.

"I still feel he should apologize publicly, but I'm not going to hold my breath. The conversation ended with respect and that was really my goal. Dana knows all about talking off emotion. I went a little [crazy] and was talking off emotion, too. Did I really plan on leaking stuff? Probably not. But at the time, I was mad and it sounded good."

"I don't fight safe, I fight smart. I've watched the fight several times and I feel the same way I did when I walked out of the cage.

"I fight with a game plan, but sometimes you have an audible. In this fight we had one. Were there times that I thought I could knock him out? Yes. But I had to do an audible because my shoulder wouldn't let me throw the overhand right."
