Anthony Joshua will be fighting Kubrat Pulev next, according to promoter Eddie Hearn.

The statement comes at a time when challengers are coming at IBF and WBA World Heavyweight Champion Joshua from all angles, each one hoping to step up in place of the now-retired Wladimir Klitschko.

The latest is WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder.

The American has called out Joshua on Instagram, claiming that the two of them "have an opportunity to turn one year into three months," and that the fight between the two would be one of the biggest heavyweight fights in history.

The key point Wilder makes is that he believes the fight between the two of them would supersede any mandatory challengers, expecting the organising bodies to overrule in order to guarantee a lucrative unification fight.

Those mandatory challengers, however, do appear to be in the way.

The IBF maintains that Bulgarian fighter Kubrat Pulev is next in line to face Joshua, while the WBA have just claimed that Cuban Luis Ortiz has been in line since January.

Things have been complicated further by Joshua and Hearn being in Las Vegas, negotiating a fight in what Joshua has called the "mecca" of boxing.

That fight was originally supposed to tempt Klitschko into a rematch on November 11, but the Ukrainian's retirement opens up the location for the next opponent - and all three are desperate to have it.

What is for certain is that Anthony Joshua has three high-profile World Title fights in his near future, and promoter Eddie Hearn believes the British fighter will have his way, specifically ruling out Wilder's claims of a unification fight being granted.

"Rather than fight anyone of note all Wilder does is call out people he knows can't fight him," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"The IBF resolution following the Klitschko fight is a public document for everyone to see: 'after the rematch there will be no request for a unification considered by the IBF'."

Hearn then laid out the plans for Joshua's schedule, confirming the beliefs that Pulev is in fact first, and that all three are in their sights.

"Obviously we now have to fight Pulev and Ortiz and it's going to be a tough balancing act. The Pulev mandatory was called some time ago and we already have signed correspondence that if it's not Klitschko then Pulev must be next.

"I would say right now the plan is Pulev, Ortiz then if Wilder still has a belt then AJ can relieve him of that next summer."

The promoter also made sure that Joshua's intentions and motivations were clear - he wants all the gold.

"AJ is 100 per cent up for fighting Pulev, 100 per cent up for fighting Ortiz and 100 per cent up for fighting Wilder and he wants to do it in a way to try and capture all belts.

"It's going to be difficult but let me tell you this young man fears no one."
