It's August which means the super fight of the past decade between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor is just around the corner.

Money will battle against Notorious on August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada in what many people believe to be a mismatch because of the boxing experience of the two fighters involved.

Many people don't give McGregor a chance in this fight because he has never had a professional boxing match before, whereas his opponent in Mayweather is undefeated inside the ring and is one more win away from having a 50-0 record.

There are some that do give the UFC Lightweight Champion a chance in this fight against the undefeated boxer, as anything can happen inside the ring once the bell, but a surprise advocate for McGregor is Nick Diaz.

Nick Diaz, the brother of McGregor's arch rival Nate Diaz, has said the Irishman shouldn't be underestimated when he steps inside the ring with the American later this month because he believes he can put up a fight.

The reason why he thinks this is because of the way he dealt with his brother when the two met for the second time inside the Octagon at UFC 202, a fight which Notorious won via majority decision, but knocked Nate down to the floor several times in the process through his punches.

Nick Diaz said during an interview with My MMA News, according to MMA Fighting: “As far as MMA, I want to say there’s maybe five guys that do jiu-jitsu that have an actual level of understanding when it comes to boxing. He obviously does.

"I feel like, if he can hit my brother he can definitely can put up somewhat of a fight with Floyd, if not actually bring him an actual challenge.

“I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I could say one thing, I could be wrong. Also, the ups and downs of life, you never know what’s going on. Either one of these guys could have a bad - like the last time my brother fought he had broken ribs, torn rib tissue.

"Neither one of those fights worked out for him. He had 13 days the first time and the next time he was injured. I was there for it.”

Whatever happens inside the ring come August 26, people are going to be talking about it for weeks afterward as it's bound to be an incredible spectacle. If Nick Diaz is to be believed, nobody should be counting McGregor out despite his lack of professional boxing experience.
