It’s not just Neymar’s former Barcelona teammates who have wished him good luck following his world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain.A number of other high-profile figures from the world of football - including Ronaldinho, David Beckham and Marcus Rashford - have also sent the Brazilian forward messages on social media in recent days.Although your average football fans is understandably outraged at the eye-watering amounts of money involved in this deal - Neymar will earn £782,000 a week before tax at the Parc des Princes following his £200 million transfer - those involved the game seem to understand his reasons for making the move. The man himself insists his move to the French capital was not motivated by money - although cynics will argue that he would say that."What I say to these people is they don't know anything about my personal life, I was never motivated by money,” Neymar was quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "If I was following the money, I would be somewhere else, with other clubs in other countries. I'm really sad that people still think that way and I'm glad that PSG believe in me."Regardless of his reasons for leaving the Camp Nou, Neymar is now a PSG player and is focused on getting off to the best possible start.

Eden Hazard sends message to Neymar

One player who knows exactly what is required to flourish in Ligue 1 is Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.

The Belgium international spent the first five years of his professional career playing with Lille in France’s top tier and was voted the league’s best player in 2011 and 2012.

Hazard, who is reportedly on Barcelona’s list of potential Neymar replacements, has joined the list of household names to send a message to the Brazil international on social media.

He posted a photo of himself picking up one of his Ligue 1 Player of the Year awards, alongside the caption: “Wishing my friend @neymarjr well in France. This will be your next trophy! #friends #ligue1 #france”
