Akinde relishing Wycombe return

Bristol City striker John Akinde is delighted to be returning to Wycombe on a month-long loan deal.

With the Robins on an international break, manager Gary Johnson decided it was the perfect time to ship Akinde out for more first-team experience.

The 20-year-old, who spent the back end of last season on loan at Wycombe and scored seven times in 11 appearances, is happy to be back at Adams Park.

Akinde told the Robins' official website: "It will be great to get some games under my belt in the next month."

He added: "I had a good time at Wycombe last season and I still know most of the squad down there. I'm looking forward to getting started."

Wycombe will have the option to extend the loan deal at the end of the month, although City would then be able to recall him with 24 hours notice.
