Now that Neymar has completed his world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain, attention will soon turn back to Kylian Mbappe's future. The 18-year-old has been linked with every major European club this summer, with previous reports even suggesting a £160 million move to Real Madrid had been agreed. And yet, with under a month of the summer transfer window remaining, we're no closer to finding out where he will be playing next season.Having sold Neymar for £198 million, Barcelona are now keeping tabs on Mbappe, too, although Real remain favourites.Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim recently hinted the France prodigy could leave this summer by admitting that keeping your best players isn't always possible."It's important to keep all of the players who were important last season at the club," Jardim said, per the Independent."But down the years it has been shown that it is not always possible to keep hold of your players and you know how our project works."Therefore, our objective is to work with the players that are still here when the transfer window closes."Manchester City are another club to have been linked with Mbappe, who may have inadvertently excited the club's fans on Twitter today.Mbappe was in Manchester for a Nike shoot and posted a picture of himself with Leroy Sane (see below) alongside the caption: "Nice to meet you bro 🤙🏽✌🏽 @LeroySane19."

The Frenchman's picture with Sane inevitably gained traction on social media, but it was City's summer signing, Benjamin Mendy, that won Twitter with his reply.

Mendy knows all too well how social media activity can be blown out of proportion amongst fans, and so he sent a hilarious tweet to Mbappe.

Alongside a GIF of Elmo from Sesame Street in front of some fire, Mendy wrote: "City fans right now 😂😂😂😂😂😂."

The 23-year-old's funny response has received over 5,000 retweets and likes - which is more than Mbappe's original tweet.

There are rumours that Mbappe is determined to leave Monaco following Mendy's move to City, not to mention the departures of Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Thomas Lemar is another who could be set for a move to the Premier League with Arsenal, which would probably be the final nail in the coffin for Mbappe's future in France.
