WWE’s tag team division is currently in a very healthy position, even if some are being used a little more than others.

You could probably count NXT as a major factor in that, as the developmental brand continues to grind out plenty of talented tag teams and groom them to be ready for the demands of the main roster, and that won't be stopping anytime soon.

TAG TEAMS

Some they have produced have succeeded and have even broken out to become huge singles stars, such as Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose of The Shield, while others have faltered and haven’t replicated that success, such as Konnor and Viktor of The Ascension.

Two stars that seem to have benefited from their singles careers not going as planned are Tyler Breeze and Fandango.

Prince Pretty was destined for big things as he created a huge following on NXT, while Johnny Curtis switched to the Fandango gimmick as soon as he hit the main roster.

While they are arguably extremely talented in-ring competitors, you can’t deny that their gimmicks did limit their potential and how far they could go, as main roster demands are far greater than pleasing the NXT crowd.

However, when WWE combined their talents, they changed the whole game.

Forming Breezango, the duo have become fan favourites amongst the WWE Universe for their fashion police-style antics which have entertained the masses.

FASHION PEAKS

To reward their efforts, they have been put in big matches, including a SmackDown tag team title match against The Usos.

Unfortunately, the creative team hasn’t pulled the trigger on a full-blown title push or a lengthy feud to cement their place as a top tag team on the blue brand alongside The Usos and The New Day, and opposite Sheamus and Cesaro and The Hardy Boyz on the red brand.

However, Cageside Seats is claiming that their status could be changing in the coming weeks.

According to the source, Breezango’s Twin Peak segment on SmackDown LIVE was such a big hit with the fans and those backstage means they are going to receive a much bigger spotlight going forward.

While it’s unclear just what that could mean for them, you have to assume that the creative team would probably insert them into the championship picture with the New Day and The Usos the teams currently battling for the gold.

Plus, when you consider the other teams SmackDown has on the roster, Breezango have consistently impressed more than the likes of The Ascension, The Colons and The Hype Bros, so perhaps they deserve a fair chance of being one of the top teams on Tuesday nights.
