The 2017/18 Premier League season is finally upon us, which means two things: table predictions and Fantasy Football teams.

Where predictions are concerned, a number of high-profile figures have cast their views on how the top four will look, including Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Glenn Hoddle.

Here's how they see the top four finishing this season:

GIVEMESPORT will broadcast live coverage of the US PGA Championship on Facebook from 10-13 August. Live coverage starts Thursday 10 August, 18:00-00:15 HERE.

Gerrard: Manchester City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea

Lampard: Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham

Hoddle: Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham/Arsenal

Alan Shearer has also made his prediction and he thinks the title will be fought for by Manchester City and Manchester United.

The Match of the Day pundit also claims Arsenal and Chelsea are in for a tough ride if they don't sign more players before the transfer window closes.

As many as seven teams are capable of finishing in the top four this season, including Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton, who have all enjoyed mixed success this summer.

While Tottenham haven't signed a single player and Liverpool's only significant capture is Mohamed Salah, Everton have brought in Michael Keane, Jordan Pickford and Davy Klassen for a combined £80 million.

As for the teams tipped for relegation, the likes of Swansea City, Huddersfield Town and Brighton are all expected to struggle.

Even Newcastle United, who romped to Championship glory last season, might be at threat of being relegated given the competitive and unpredictable nature of the Premier League.

How the table will look next May is anyone's guess, but Football Manager has taken a stab at predicting who will finish where by simulating the 2017/18 season.

As relayed by the Mirror, City finished top on 84 points, with Chelsea, United and Arsenal occupying the remaining top four spots.

Liverpool and Tottenham then came a disappointing fifth and sixth respectively, while Newcastle, Swansea and Huddersfield were relegated. Check out the table below.
