Almost a week has passed since Neymar completed his world-record £200 million move to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona.

The Brazilian forward had hoped to make his debut against Amiens last Saturday but was denied the opportunity to do so.

And according to BBC Sport, the 25-year-old may be prevented from making his debut against Guingamp on Sunday.

The Spanish football federation has until Thursday night to send the required documents, according to the LFP which runs Ligue 1, and if the deadline is missed Neymar will have to wait even longer before making his first PSG appearance.

"The Spanish federation of football has until Thursday night to send the CIT to the French federation of football, who send it back to the French professional football league, and then Neymar can play with PSG this weekend,” an LFP statement said.

Video: Neymar tearing it up in training

Neymar, who is now earning an eye-watering £782,000 a week before tax, is keeping himself fit in the meantime by training with his new teammates.

And footage has emerged which shows Neymar already tearing it up in PSG’s training sessions.

He looks fit, sharp and raring to go. Barcelona fans, look away now…

He's going to destroy Ligue 1, isn't he.

Neymar considering complaint against Barcelona

It was revealed earlier this week that Neymar is considering submitting a formal complaint to FIFA against Barcelona.

Sky Sports have reported that Neymar feels “very bad” that Barça are refusing to pay a £23 million loyalty bonus to Neymar’s father following a contract renewal last year.

Barcelona attempting to sign Neymar replacement
