The Cleveland Cavaliers are stuck in an unenviable place at the moment, as their two superstars - Kyrie Irving and LeBron James - are feuding in the wake of Irving's trade request.

From comments leaked to the press to potential subtweets, the two stars don't seem to be getting along, with LeBron upset at Irving's demand and Irving wanting to break free of James's large shadow.

People from around the league have shared their opinions of the situation, and on Tuesday, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas weighed in on the drama in Cleveland.

GIVEMESPORT will broadcast live coverage of the US PGA Championship on Facebook from 10-13 August. Live coverage starts Thursday 10 August, 18:00-00:15 HERE.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, as you can see in the video below, Arenas said he understands why Irving is asking for a trade and that it's difficult playing in the shadow of a guy like LeBron, who is one of the best players in NBA history:

"When you're sitting behind a mega-talent, people can't really see your value," he said. "I understand that he has a ring now, he's a champion - he's at the point now where he probably wants to show everyone, 'This is who I am.'"

The interviewer then goes on to ask if Arenas believes Irving can win without LeBron, to which he quickly responds in the negative:

"No," he said emphatically. "He's not going to win a title without LeBron. LeBron's not going to win a title without a great player like himself, also. But at this point, (Irving) already has a title."

Arenas, known as Agent Zero during his playing days, probably wishes he could have played alongside a player like LeBron, as his skill set was very similar to Irving's.

The Cavaliers may be hoping that Irving realizes that what Arenas says is true and that he'll decide it's ultimately in his best interest to stay in Cleveland and work things out with LeBron before the start of the 2017-18 season.

With Irving and James playing together the past three years, the Cavaliers have made it to three-straight NBA Finals, winning the title in 2016. If Irving stays in Cleveland this year, the Cavs would likely once again be the favorites to make it to the championship round in 2018.

However, Irving seems to be serious about leading his own team, so the drama in Cleveland will probably only intensify as the start of the 2017-18 season draws ever closer.
