UFC President Dana White has revealed who is the promotion's version of Mike Tyson.

During his time, Tyson was the most feared man on the planet. He is the measuring stick for a fighter in both boxing and MMA (mixed martial arts). Tyson is arguably the greatest fight of all-time and is definitely in the conversation alongside Muhammad Ali.

Although, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has not come out and confirmed that she is done with fighting. In fact, she hasn’t talked about MMA at all as of late.

It’s believed that Rousey’s MMA career is over following her devastating loss to current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes at the UFC 207 pay-per-view event that took place last December. Rousey has disappeared from the MMA world to say the least. However, that doesn’t stop White from giving out high praise to the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion.

Although Rousey hasn’t spoken publicly about her career since losing to Nunes. White has gone on record by basically confirming that she is done as a professional MMA fighter. Either way you look at her career, she paved the way for female fighters and was a pioneer for the division. Despite her departure from the promotion, it hasn’t changed White’s stance on Rousey’s place in history.

The UFC President recently appeared on the first episode of friend and former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson’s podcast, “Bite the Mic.” During the episode, he was asked in front of Tyson, himself, which fighter has had an impact comparable to the one “Iron” Mike made in boxing.

Some fight fans may think that he would give the obvious answer of it being current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, who is scheduled to take on Floyd Mayweather in a boxing bout later this month in Las Vegas, Nevada.

However, White doesn’t think McGregor is that person. Instead, he picks Rousey. As for why he thinks it is Rousey, he brought up how McGregor is different from Tyson as he had a verbal game that was nothing like Tyson. Here is what he had to say (h/t MMA Junkie).

“Our Tyson was Ronda (Rousey), man. Ronda had this aura of invincibility that we’ve never seen before. That’s why everyone was calling Ronda our Mike Tyson because she was the most dominant athlete on the planet. Conor (McGregor) is different. Conor is completely different than a Tyson – his verbal game, his picking the round.”
