The majority of Manchester United fans have little positive to say about David Moyes these days after his disastrous spell managing the club during the ill-fated 2013-14 campaign. The 54-year-old, appointed as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor by the legendary Scot himself, was sacked 10 months after signing a six-year contract with the Red Devils after it became mathematically impossible for the club to qualify for the Champions League. Many United fans grew increasingly angry with Moyes that season, irritated by some of his bizarre comments, team selection and tactics.

They have become even angrier with Moyes since his sacking for hitting out at the club on numerous occasions for not giving him more time.

The Scot has shown little since to suggest United made the wrong decision.

Moyes won just 12 of his 42 matches while in charge of Real Sociedad - although one of those wins was against Barcelona - while his spell at Sunderland last season couldn’t have gone any worse.

With his reputation now in tatters, it would be a surprise if the three-time LMA Manager of the Year ever gets another Premier League job again.

But just because he now finds himself on the managerial scrapheap doesn’t mean he can’t make comments about football.

Moyes unsure Pogba can do it in the big games

Unfortunately, though, he’s managed to annoy United fans even more with his latest comments about Paul Pogba.

"I think he's a top player, I don't know if he's a player who completely makes a difference for Manchester United,” Moyes is quoted as saying by ESPN. “I think that over the years Manchester United have had players like Cantona, even Ryan Giggs, people who are special players. I don't know if Pogba's that.

"I think he's a good player, I think he'll add to Manchester United, but will he make the difference? Is he someone who will score the goal at really important stages in games or make the key pass? I'm not sure about that.

"But I do think that the machine that Manchester United are now, the size, the players they've got, you know they've got a massive stature to their team, I think Pogba adds to that. And I do think he's a good player, but I'm not quite sure if he'll make the difference in key games."

Interesting, David. However, we’re not sure Jose Mourinho will concur.
