Reading manager Brendan Rodgers is on the look-out for a striker to lift his side's flagging fortunes.

The Royals have endured a difficult start to the season and find themselves in the bottom three.

Their home form has been particularly worrying having failed to win in eight games at the Madjeski Stadium and managing just three goals in the process. While Rodgers admits he is concerned by that run of form he indicated he would not be drawn into a hasty purchase, with the January transfer window still over a month away.

"I feel what would add to the group is what we call a link striker," Rodgers told the club's official website.

"I won't just bring anyone in for the sake of it though, it has to be the right person with the right DNA and our search for that continues."
