Keeper doubt for unbeaten Poyet

Goalkeeper Michel Kuipers is rated 50-50 for Brighton's home clash with leaders Leeds.

The former Dutch marine was taken off at half-time of Wednesday's FA Cup win over Wycombe with a groin injury and replaced by Graeme Smith, who is on standby to start.

Seagulls boss Gus Poyet, a former assistant manager at Leeds, rested strikers Glenn Murray and Nicky Forster in midweek and will restore both to the starting line-up.

On-loan winger Arron Davies is also available again after Nottingham Forest refused him permission to play in the FA Cup.

Poyet is looking to build on his superb start to life as a manager, having won both games so far.

Defenders Jim McNulty (ankle) and Colin Hawkins (heel) remain his only definite injury absentees.

Leeds manager Simon Grayson is expected to choose from a virtually fully-fit squad.

Grayson has no new injury or suspension headaches and although Tresor Kandol will sit out the last of a three-game suspension, on-loan Coventry midfielder Michael Doyle returns to contention following a one-match ban.

Striker Luciano Becchio is still nursing an ankle injury, but Davide Somma pushed his claims to be involved in the squad with two goals for the reserves in midweek.

Neil Kilkenny is hoping to retain his place in midfield after starting the last two matches and centre-half Paul Huntington will be hoping to feature in the squad following his return to Elland Road from a loan spell at Stockport.

Leeds have bounced back from their only league defeat of the season at Millwall last month with successive 4-0 wins, at Bristol Rovers and against Yeovil, and look to extend their lead at the top.
